Tom's Story
By: Sidney Starling (His Daughter)
My dad was born in the great state of Texas, which he believes is the best state ever. He majored in Psychology from Baylor University. He talked so highly about the college that I almost attended college there. He then decided to go to seminary. Later, after serving as a hospital chaplain, he had a deep interest in medical ethics, so he earned to get his Master in Medical Ethics.

Christian faith has always been a large part of my dad's life. From this faith, he has developed compassion for others, and he has always believed in helping others. This is why he has loved working in the non-profit world. He truly believes in advocating for mental health and the overall health of kids, families, and adults. His caring nature is deep in the roots of who he is, so he genuinely is kind to his coworkers, supervisors, and clients.

If you are reading this, know that my dad is a great father, supervisor, coworker, and friend. Meeting him is a pleasure, and knowing him is an honor.
